Screen printing is a printing method that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink which can be pressed through the mesh. A squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing ink through the mesh openings to wet the substrate during the squeegee stroke. Basically, it is the process of using a mesh-based stencil to apply ink onto a garment such as t-shirts. One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multi-coloured image or design. Screen printing is ideal for large quantity orders (normally 20+ items) and screen printed garments wash well and have a superior quality finish.
There is a one time set-up charge for screen printed garments. For each colour in your design a screen has to be produced to enable us to print it which are charged at £20+VAT per screen required.
We do NOT charge any set-up costs on reorders. So if you needed more of the same design printed at a later date, these charges would not apply provided the dimensions and number of colours in the design remain a constant.
Print prices depend on the garment type, quantities & design required. Our minimum for screen printing is now just 20pcs per design.
A screen will be required for each colour in your design, a set up charge will occur for each screen required. Please contact us a quote.
