Screen Printing:

Screen printing is a printing method that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink which can be pressed through the mesh. A squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing ink through the mesh openings to wet the substrate during the squeegee stroke. Basically, it is the process of using a mesh-based stencil to apply ink onto a garment such as t-shirts. One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multi-coloured image or design. Screen printing is ideal for large quantity orders (normally 20+ items) and screen printed garments wash well and have a superior quality finish.

Prices:

There is a one time set-up charge for screen printed garments.  For each colour in your design a screen has to be produced to enable us to print it which are charged at £20+VAT per screen required.
We do NOT charge any set-up costs on reorders. So if you needed more of the same design printed at a later date, these charges would not apply provided the dimensions and number of colours in the design remain a constant.

Print prices depend on the garment type, quantities & design required. Our minimum for screen printing is now just 20pcs per design.

A screen will be required for each colour in your design, a set up charge will occur for each screen required. Please contact us a quote.

Ink types:

Plastisol Ink

The most common used ink in screen printing is Plastisol Ink. The ink will be slightly thicker than other inks and does also have a more glossy finish to it. The ink will product a long lasting, vibrant finish. *Please not that you cannot iron over Plastisol Ink.

Water Based Ink

A great choice if you prefer a soft feel to you printed garment. This ink can be ironed over and is also generally considered to be the most eco friendly.

Glow in the Dark Ink

Glow in the dark ink adds a vibrant look to your design but is not noticeable under natural light.

Puff Additive

Puff printing is achieved by adding an additive to the ink and creates a raised 3D texture on the garment.
